Risking health and safety 

Risk assessment : Rain may be harmful for camera - will take precipitous by carrying a cover to prevent water damage 

May leave light box on for too long and could run out of battery - will take spare battery's and may find natural lighting a lot more effective 

Research - Film Magazine cover Analysis

In order to give me the best opportunity in creating a high quality Magazine cover for my film, I decided to analyse multiple existing magazines in order to get a creative input from other cover of a similar genre to my own. I found this very beneficial and learnt a lot from these analysis, including the layout of my cover, what type of image I would use and how to design the font to compliment each other. 

Research - Film Poster Analysis

I have analysed three film posters in order to give me inspiration and ideas on what I need to include in my own. I have tried to stick to genre which is my own but due to my film being more of a hybrid genre of horror and thriller I have mingles between the two so I can include both of their codes and conventions in my film poster. I learnt a lot form analysing these posters of what I need to include, what I thought worked well and then how I would apply to my own film poster. 

Research - Mood Board of Film Magazine Covers

I created a mood board of all different Film magazine covers, this was so I could understand what was needed to be included in the cover and find out the layouts that most magazine companies follow. I tried to find as many magazines suited to my genre in order to understand the expectations on a film magazine cover. 

Research - Mood Board of Film Posters

I decided to create a mood board of different Film posters in to inspire me when  creating my own. In doing this I gained ideas for what to include in my own poster and how I can make it look as professional as possible. I think this is a great way to understand what I would need to do in order to make my poster of a good quality and the different elements I could bring to it. 

 

Update - Week 8

Filming - First shoot

I have done recorded footage for my trailer and transferred this footage into iMovie . I am now sorting through the footage and cutting out all the useless footage I cannot use.  

This will then make it easier for me to edit the trailer further down the line.
