Social Media Sites for Promotion of Trailer
I decided to create multiple social media sites for my film Fixation in order to keep my audience updated and interested in my film. I created a Tumblr, Facebook and Instagram as although a facebook and Instagram is a norm social media site to create for the release of a film, a Tumblr is a bit different and unique. However I feel as if Tumblr appeals more to my audience of a younger generation.

Film Production Label
I created my own film company called 'Pepper road productions' who are the production behind the making of my Trailer. I decided to call it 'pepper road productions' due to originally the two words seeming quite light hearted and fun, but when you actual think about a pepper road bing a dark empty passage, it can turn quite sinister. Due to this being a juxtaposition I think it makes my company unique and interesting.

Creation of Film Magazine Cover
I decided to record a video explaining the process in
which I created my Film magazine for my trailer, I thought it would be
beneficial to state the ways in which I created the cover and what I used to
achieve the result. When creating the cover I knew there were many things I
wished to include such a high quality photo, an appropriate and captivating
magazine title and realistic tag lines. These were all very important to me and
I made sure that even though my knowledge of InDesign was not of a high level,
this would not stop me. YouTube was a great help and anytime that I wanted guidance
on creating new affects for the magazine cover I just types in what I wanted to
do and followed the guides in order to achieve the result that I am now very
happy with.

Creation of Film Poster
Due to recently creating my Film poster for my trailer 'Fixation" I decided to create a video showing how I achieved the effects and visuals in which displayed upon my film poster. Here I describe the process of selecting my images, editing them and how I put together the pictures and text in order to make the poster look as professional as possible. I had a good idea of how I was going to layout my poster due to doing a lot of research behind what makes a poster be as successful as it can and how I would also follow the stereotypes of thriller film posters. However I did not have very good knowledge of InDesign but I made sure this did not hold me back as anything that I wished to do I would either experiment on the software or Google how to achieve this certain look I wanted. I am very pleased in the way my poster turned out especially due to me not being familiar with the InDesign software, I think it looks professional and portrays the feel of my trailer well.

Film Poster - Fixation (first draft)
This is the first draft of my Film Poster, I do like the way the images all blur together as it is a stereotype of other thriller film posters I have analysed. However I feel lie the black and white of the two side pictures look strange in comparison to the main image. I am also stepping dramatically away from the three colour principle and I feel like this distracts form the intensity that should be felt when looking at the poster. So going forward with improvements I aim to change the colour scheme to look more professional and fitting to my narrative/ genre.
Film Magazine cover - Fixation (first draft)
Due to this being my first draft of my Film Magazine I wasn't too sure about the dimensions of the page in order for it to look as much like a real media product as possible. So when later researching into it, I decided it was important that I made sure my document fitted the dimensions of a real media product, which I would later change. I also aim to change the title of the magazine as I do not feel like it looks like a Film magazine company due to the title not standing out of having anything to make it jump out of the page. I hope to alter these amendments as a later date.

Research - Film Magazine cover Analysis
In order to give me the best opportunity in creating a high quality Magazine cover for my film, I decided to analyse multiple existing magazines in order to get a creative input from other cover of a similar genre to my own. I found this very beneficial and learnt a lot from these analysis, including the layout of my cover, what type of image I would use and how to design the font to compliment each other.

Research - Film Poster Analysis
I have analysed three film posters in order to give me inspiration and ideas on what I need to include in my own. I have tried to stick to genre which is my own but due to my film being more of a hybrid genre of horror and thriller I have mingles between the two so I can include both of their codes and conventions in my film poster. I learnt a lot form analysing these posters of what I need to include, what I thought worked well and then how I would apply to my own film poster.

Research - Mood Board of Film Magazine Covers
I created a mood board of all different Film magazine covers, this was so I could understand what was needed to be included in the cover and find out the layouts that most magazine companies follow. I tried to find as many magazines suited to my genre in order to understand the expectations on a film magazine cover.
Research - Mood Board of Film Posters
I decided to create a mood board of different Film posters in to inspire me when creating my own. In doing this I gained ideas for what to include in my own poster and how I can make it look as professional as possible. I think this is a great way to understand what I would need to do in order to make my poster of a good quality and the different elements I could bring to it.
