Ancillary Task 1 - Film Poster Fixation Final Draft
This is my final draft of my Film Trailer Poster, I changed the colour scheme to be far more dark and depressing and I really feel like this added a lot more detail and feeling to the poster, giving it a sinister yet stereotypical look to it. I also think it blends the three images together far better and makes the title stand out form the page more more so.

Ancillary Task 2- Film Magazine Front cover Fixation Final Draft
I have created the final draft of my Film Magazine for my trailer. I have made a few amendments compared to last time including changing the page set up to the measurements of a real Magazine, altering the title by changing the font, size, colour and style and then finally moving text and adding effects to them. I prefer this magazine cover far more as I feel it looks far more professional and the title now stands out far more compared to my first draft.

Website - Fixation
This is a website which I created on the site 'WIX', as it is a specialised site for the making of websites of any genre. I purely based it upon my Fixation Trailer and gave my audience a new place to have updated links on the release of my film. I also added easy access to all my social media sites including Tumblr, Facebook and Instagram.I decided to make an additional website to see whether it complemented my trailer, however as much as I enjoyed making it, I preferred the look of my Film Magazine a lot more.

Evaluation: How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
Due to me evaluating my trailer and
ancillary tasks independently it is now also important that I consider how well
they work together. Personally I think that they all work really well in
correlation with on and other due to the same theme falling across all my
pieces, which ties them together nicely.
One of the reasons I feel this is the case
is due to my trailer and ancillary tasks all incorporated a similar colour
scheme. I have made it so they are all quite white and blue-based images,
giving them all a certain dark and depressing feel. The way I did this for my
ancillary tasks were by fading the colour saturation and creating a far more
darker and depressing feel to my images. I then carried this onto my film
trailer by lowering the colour intensity of my footage this also helped by me
filming some shots in the snow to give a cold edge to my trailer, which also
reflected in my movie poster, as the sky in the background is a murky white
colour. I think sticking to a colour scheme across all boards of my trailer
makes it look professional and well put together.
Another way my trailer and ancillary tasks
worked well together was through me always promoting my film fixation with the
same character. I always used my main character Hayley for every media format
whether it was during the trailer, to on my poster. This was so I could create
a face for the film and make sure everything worked well together and made
sense in order to promote it in a way that looked as realistic as possible. My audience could the connect the two and
easily identify the main character and how much the film is centered on her.
A way that I could of created a better
combination between my trailer and ancillary tasks would be through making the
tag line a more prominent feature in my trailer. My tag line is ‘every move you
make, every breath you take’ and originally is as going to incorporate this
song in my trailer but I found that it didn’t fit my footage well. So it would
of worked well if I had found a way to include this in my trailer and utilized
the tag line being unique and interesting.
Altogether I feel like my trailer and ancillary
tasks fit really well and compliment each other in all the right areas.
